Marc Wites and the Wites Law Firm Team will fight for you, and support you, through the very difficult process of obtaining the justice you unfortunately deserve. We have recovered millions of dollars for sexual assault victims, including record-breaking sexual abuse settlements.
If you or a loved one are a survivor of sexual abuse, you may be able to file a civil lawsuit against the responsible individuals or institutions. The attorneys at Wites Law Firm, led by Marc Wites, have the experience and necessary understanding to work with survivors of sexual abuse on a confidential basis. While a lawsuit cannot change the past, filing a civil lawsuit can help prevent sexual predators from hurting others in the future and also provide financial compensation.
We are ready, willing and able to go to battle for you, whether against a school, employer, church or temple. No defendant is too big, and no battle too long, when it comes to obtaining justice for victims of sexual assault and molestation. Wites Law Firm has represented injured people and their families since 2001.
Marc Wites & The Wites Law Firm Team will fight for you, and support you, throughout the process. We represent victims of all types of sexual abuse, such as:
It all began during the 2004-2005 school year, when a Palm Beach County Elementary School Teacher abused 4 girls in his third-grade class, all of South American decent and from families that had only recently moved to the United States. The girls are known as the Janie Does.
Unbeknownst to the Janie Does or their parents, this was not the first time the teacher was accused of engaging in such horrific conduct. Two years earlier, during the 2002-2003 school year, another young – also girl of South American decent and with parents with limited English skills – had the courage to tell her parents that the teacher was abusing her in the same fashion. The next day after telling her parents, they all went to the School to report it. According to the family, the Vice-Principal, however, refused to believe them. He remained in the classroom and abused the Janie Does 2 years later.
Ultimately, after 11 years of litigation, and on the eve of trial, the School Board relented, and agreed to a record-breaking $3.6 million dollar settlement for the Janie Does. One of the Janie Does explained her experience this way: “Many victims feel like it’s their fault and that they are accountable for what happened to them in some way. I’m here to say that it’s not your fault, and you are not alone. Don’t be afraid to speak up.”

You can still bring a civil lawsuit for money damages. It is not necessary to report a crime to the police in order to bring a civil lawsuit for money damages.
If the plaintiff is a minor child, they will be identified in the lawsuit as “Janie Doe” or “Johnny Doe” to protect their identity. If the plaintiff is an adult, the adult plaintiff will most likely have to use their full and real name in all court proceedings.
Maybe. In civil lawsuits, each party, including both the plaintiff and the defendant, has a right to attend each party’s deposition, the mediation, and the trial. However, in cases involving minors, courts will often enter orders that provide that the defendant cannot attend the minor child’s deposition, and other protections may be afforded by the court to protect the child and their family.
Yes . You will have to testify. If you hire our law firm, we will do everything reasonably possible to prepare you for your testimony, and we will be sitting by your side during your testimony.

As a young boy, my parents took me to see a well-known physician because they were concerned that I was quite short.
I was ushered into the doctor’s office without my parents and told to undress. At his direction, I sat on his lap where he proceeded to fondle me and then photograph me in very embarrassing positions. Since he was a man of such authority, and I was just a boy, I never told my parents about it (until years later) and carried around the shame of that experience for my entire life.
More than 50 years later, I responded to an online ad from Marc Wites of the Wites Law Firm and found Marc to be a caring and sensitive person on the other end of my phone call. He was always respectful and communicated very clearly. At no time did I feel any pressure or judgement. He personally handled my case and efficiently guided me through each step of the process right up until the end.
The case was settled very quickly for quite a large sum of money and there was no question in my mind that it was Marc’s experience and expertise that allowed this case to come to conclusion so quickly and painlessly for me. Marc is an honest and decent guy who handled my case incredibly professionally. I highly recommend working with Marc and the Wites Law Firm.
