Hundreds of Southern Baptist Church ministers, leaders, workers and volunteers sexually abused children, women, and men over the last 20 years, according to a recently released investigative report. The Report revealed that the Church was well aware of the abuse, and kept an internal, secret list of 703 people suspected abusers.
Unfortunately, the Church engaged in a coverup, ignoring and vilifying victims of abuse. The Church Released the list of alleged sexual abusers, which reportedly includes perpetrators who have been criminally convicted and confessed. You can read the list by Clicking Here.
IF YOU OR YOUR LOVED ONE IS THE VICTIM OF SEXUAL ABUSE BY A SOUTHERN BAPTIST CHURCH LEADER, MINISTER, CHURCH WORKER, VOLUNTEER, AND OTHER CHURCH REPRESENTATIVE, YOU MAY BE ABLE TO FILE A LAWSUIT AGAINST THE CHURCH TO OBTAIN COMPENSATION.

$3.6M SETTLEMENT IN
CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE CASE
It all began during the 2004-2005 school year, when a Palm Beach County Elementary School Teacher abused 4 girls in his third-grade class, all of South American decent and from families that had only recently moved to the United States. The girls are known as the Janie Does.
Unbeknownst to the Janie Does or their parents, this was not the first time the teacher was accused of engaging in such horrific conduct. Two years earlier, during the 2002-2003 school year, another young – also girl of South American decent and with parents with limited English skills – had the courage to tell her parents that the teacher was abusing her in the same fashion. The next day after telling her parents, they all went to the School to report it. According to the family, the Vice-Principal, however, refused to believe them. He remained in the classroom and abused the Janie Does 2 years later.
“As a young boy, my parents took me to see a well-known physician because they were concerned that I was quite short.
I was ushered into the doctor’s office without my parents and told to undress. At his direction, I sat on his lap where he proceeded to fondle me and then photograph me in very embarrassing positions. Since he was a man of such authority, and I was just a boy, I never told my parents about it (until years later) and carried around the shame of that experience for my entire life.
More than 50 years later, I responded to an online ad from Marc Wites of the Wites Law Firm and found Marc to be a caring and sensitive person on the other end of my phone call. He was always respectful and communicated very clearly. At no time did I feel any pressure or judgement. He personally handled my case and efficiently guided me through each step of the process right up until the end.
The case was settled very quickly for quite a large sum of money and there was no question in my mind that it was Marc’s experience and expertise that allowed this case to come to conclusion so quickly and painlessly for me. Marc is an honest and decent guy who handled my case incredibly professionally. I highly recommend working with Marc and the Wites Law Firm. “

The law will now allow people who were abused decades ago to sue Rockefeller Hospital for the conduct of Dr. Archibald. The New York Senate just passed the Child Victims Act, which would establish a one-year look back period during which victims with claims that are barred by the statute of limitations would be able to bring a lawsuit. In other words, no matter how long ago the abuse occurred, victims of Dr. Archibald may come forward for a period of one-year and bring a claim that will not be dismissed or thrown out because they waited too long to sue. The new law will also allow all people going forward until age 55 to bring sexual abuse lawsuits. According to the New York Times, New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo “has promised to sign the bill into law.
Victims of sexual assault and abuse can sue for money damages, such as money for pain and suffering, medical expenses, and lost wages.
Maybe. If your case is not settled prior to filing a lawsuit, you likely will have to testify in the lawsuit. If you hire our law firm, we will do everything reasonably possible to prepare you for your testimony, and we will be sitting by your side during your testimony.
If the plaintiff is a minor child, they will be identified in the lawsuit as “Janie Doe” or “Johnny Doe” to protect their identity. If the plaintiff is an adult, the adult plaintiff will most likely have to use their full and real name in all court proceedings.
